Tail type?

So Wally, my opaque some sort of tail, finally flared for me. I took pics (without flash since he reflects too much!) and am wondering if you guys could help me figure out what kind of tail he has?

How can you tell the difference between delta and SD? And should I bring the pic back to petco and demand a refund on the difference between a delta and HM??? ;)

I think halfmoons are more expensive than deltas. HMs here are $12. How much did you pay for him? Let me look for the thread explaining the difference.

I paid $13.49 (he was marked as a HM). I wouldn't actually go back and demand the difference... i was jk.

i understand the basic difference, i think, SDs have more of a spread than DTs, but not 180* like HMs. Could he still be young and grow into a HM?

Oh ok.lol I don't think so, even if they're young, they'll still have the finnage of a HM. I'm pretty sure yours is a SD which can be mistaken for a HM.

Thats the good thing, he could grow into an HM. Or he could carry the HM gene which is good for breeding :)
