Help! My Betta Has Velvet!

Hey guys, i have just realized that my betta fish has a disease called "velvet" and his fins are like a gold rusty color and its always scratching itself on things like the thermometer. I just wanted to know some types of medications i could buy from my local pet store that could help this disease go away. I have done some research on the cure to this disease but i feel safer asking you guys.

Main point of this thread is to answer the following questions:

A. What medication would you recommend to cure velvet (need to know the exact name so i can ask my local pet store if they have it)

B. Do i need to change ALL my water in my 10 gallon tank if i decide to take the betta out or does the velvet disease stay in the tank even after taking the fish out(i will put the betta into a quarantine tank for its medications)

Thanks For Your Time! (hope i get my questions answered because im going tomorrow morning to the store)

I would put the fish in a hospital tank and treat with Aquarisol.

Drama, if i take out my betta from my 10 gallon tank into a quarantine tank than do i have to do a 100% water change or just 80%... will the parasites on by themselves if the fish isnt in the tank or do i have to treat the tank even if the isnt inside the tank anymore

I really don't know. If you get the medicine, it might tell you how much, if any to change. Some meds have it on the bottle or package.
