Anything else I can put in ?

So now that Adolfs gone :( I have an extra 3 gallon tank that I want to use.
I want another betta, but I was wondering, if I could put anything else in there with it? I know no other fish but. Frogs or ghost shrimp? Or a snail? I'm pretty sure I'm going to use a filter for this tank.

Well If I can do both, maybe I could put 2 frogs in with my female betta? And 2 or 3 shrimp in with another betta Im going to get? How would that work?

With only 3 gallons I would only do a small snail (not a mystery snail) or 2-3 ghost shrimp with a betta. Even if you filter and cycle its a little small for any other tank mates

Not a mystery snail! Gotcha! I think I might just do the shrimpies.

I'd personally only add one shrimp, though they don't have much of a bioload.

I like apple snails, but they are large at 2 to 5 inches.

my question is how do i clean the tank with shrimp in it? Im kinda nervous about getting them out or vaccuming the gravel...

sorry cant help you there.. I'm kinda wondering that myself.. its one of the reason I went with the snails over shrimp. If they get sucked up you could always pick em out of the bucket and throw 'em back in.. or possibly net and cup them??? Not really sure.

You can net shrimp, but they can be jumpy little guys (and gals)! I had one nearly go into the garbage disposal on me while I was trying to transfer them to a Kritter Keeper.

I had my betta in a 3-gallon tank with an ADF -- the smallest variety -- and he is nearly twice the size now. I had to upgrade to a 6-gallon.
