Should I?

So my husband gave me the go-ahead to buy one more betta :)

I went to petco and found two TOTALLY different ones, but beautiful in their own way. I want your advice on which one to get?!!?

The first one is a light purple/tanzanite color which each scale outlined in a darker color, so you're able to see each individual scale. His fins have some color, but can't tell what exactly because he didn't flare. They are a yellow color with what *looks* like blue and purple. he is a halfmoon

the other one looks almost exactly like this, only with more green, only couldn't tell if he was a HM or SDT http://bettysplendens.com/articles/p...articleid=3420

suggestions?? or should I wait for my ideal tanzanite white color HM???

i think they both sound pretty and you should get which ever one you feel a "connection" with and i would get that one..then if you find your ideal HM later then get that one too haha then you can tell your husband you just couldn't pass it up cause it's taken too long to find him, or at least thats what i would do. :O) whatever you decide i'm sure you will love him. good luck.

I got the first one... i didn't really feel anything with purplish one, although he was pretty... but I already have 3 light colored ones... the purple one flared while i was there and he had yellowish fins with some bluish but he was kinda sluggish.. the blue/green one was wicked spunky and didn't look quite as dopey as the other one, hehe. although, maybe i'll go back and get him. my husband feels bad that the new one is in a tank by himself and has no friends to flare at!

this is what the other one looked like, just not quite as "polished", but similar coloring. More purple in the body (more tanzanite color) but same yellow fins with white edging... now i wanna go get him but i get that "don't you dare look" when i mention it around the hubby :)
