New Delta Tail Needs a Name!

I must say that I was terribly heartbroken to have my first betta Mo die just recently. I moped around for a while... before remembering that I had seen a handsome delta tail at Petco the other day... and I found myself wondering whether he could still be there waiting for his new home. I told myself that I shouldn't be in any rush to get another betta... but IF he was there, IF he was still in his lonely little cup on a shelf, I would get him.

Guess what? He was there. ^_^

I believe from the thread on coloration that he is a Cambodian. He has a very pale iridescent purple body and rich red fins. And... blue eyes. Those blue eyes are what really sucked me in. I think his fins are still growing out... he looks like a young guy. In any case, I'm trying to figure out what to name him so any suggestions would be appreciated...

I think it has been good for me to have this new guy around. He's very active and happy, which has really cheered me up after losing Mo in such a long painful process.

I'll try to share some pics eventually. Unfortunately, my camera is stupid and I've lost the cord that allows me to download the images onto my computer. I'll get a replacement ASAP, but until then I fear that your imagination will have to suffice. ;D

I was sort of considering naming him Merlin... Pheonix is attractive too though.

I have 2 blue eyed ones.

M.A.C and Nyx have blue specks in their eyes, but Aigis was the only one I had with full blue eyes.

Seems like blue eyes must be a bit of a rare trait. It's definitely one that I've fallen in love with though!

Mo had beautiful topaz eyes. I'm still missing him. Jack's eyes are really dark, to the point that they look entirely black.
