Tank plans

So I finally decided to go buy all the things needed to make some tank dividers. I made two of them, then I looked at my betta and he was having so much fun swimming around in the ten gallon. I then thought it would be mean to him to divide his tank up into three equal sections. I decided it would be best to give him 4 gallons, another betta 4 gallons, and buy some plants, and maybe some ghost shrimp for a small 2 gallon area.
How many (if any) ghost shrimp would I be able to put in the 2 gallon section. I was getting numbers from 3-10. Ten is too much though. I was thinking 3 or 4. What do you think?
I'm going to get another betta from petsmart of Saturday. I hate getting fish there, but there are no other petstores that have anything to do with fish within 30 minutes of my house. I also can't afford to buy one online.
This reminds me even more how I am broke XD

I'd do 2 ghost shrimp personally...1 gallon per shrimp. It'd make more sense to divide the tank into 5 gallons each, and keep 2-3 shrimp with each betta imo.

I was going to do a little section just incase one betta decides to jump over, he won't get injured or worse... I might just make it a little rock garden and put some nice river rocks, or stones in there. If I do that it will be a one gallon area. I just have to make up my mind by Saturday morning. I still might go with a third betta in three 3.3 gallon areas.
