Question Are penguin tetras safe to put in with a male betta?

I was originally thinking of putting a Molly in with tsunami but I heard that they are a fairly aggressive fish. So I was wondering if a penguin tetra would be any better I would normally ask the staff at my LPS but they don't seem to be as knowledgable as most on this forum.

penguin tetras need large tanks (20g+) and they need to be in groups of atleast 7.... They have been known to nip at bettas tails also, but if you are carefull and can fulfill the requirements, it could work
