Help with tetracycline

Im using to cure my fishes columnaris and i was just wondering if i should keep the gunk on top of the tank or clean it??? and i cant tell if he's getting any better. Still wont eat but i think (or my imagination) that hes slowly unclamping his fins. his fins look like really bad too btw.

Don't get rid of the gunk, but you might want to stir it in to make sure all the TC is dissolved.
