Unhappy small question about my sister's betta's fin

so he's a rescue fish from 'the craft werehouse' and his anal fin looks kinked, several of the spines litteraly look kinked, he was in a cup as big around as he was long when we got him so is it just becaus he was in a super small cup?

Yeah ammonia will cause their fins to curl. It's permanent but it won't affect his health of swimming.

My betta also came from Craft warehouse in a very dirty small cup. The fin on his back(sorry dont know names) is all kinked and twisted but he seems to swim fine and has no issues.
