New Female

I went to Petsmart to get some live plants and some fish for my 15 gallon tank, and came out a proud parent of a female betta! I was going to go to Petco and get a male and a female tomorrow, but I saw this female and I had to get her.

Her temporary home is a little vase. This is only until tomorrow.
She will be put in the middle section once I get some dividers put in. BTW the light on the left side burnt out so it is going to be a little brighter soon.
This is Alpha. He just got over finrot. I bought him from Petsmart and realised he had smallish fins that kept getting smaller. The flash made him a little stressed so he turned a little more yellow than usual. He is going to be put on the right side of the tank.




My little girl has no name yet. Me and my friend were trying to come up with some names, but none of them really clicked.

OMG she's adorable!! Pretty much the exact female I'm after. :P Alpha is a pretty boy too, I love the yellow.

She has little dots on the top of her head. I was thinking of calling her Freckles. Her little section needs a live plant put in. Petsmart didn't really have any good plants other than the java fern.

Alpha is such a show off. He would rather swim all around than to look up to find his food. He LOVES his food too.

Thanks. I was really torn between her and a blue one almost like her. The little dots on her head made me want her more though. Petco better not have any females that I fall in love with. I want a male from Petco.

such a cutie! You should start a sorority and get a 2.5 gal for the male :D Females are so cute :D
