Yes, live plants. In the back corners it's Amazon Sword, middle back is Java Fern, and tied to the driftwood in Anubias nana

Thank you. He really does enjoy all the plants. The amazon swords are proving to be a great plant for him. He loves swimming through the stems and resting on the broad leaves.

Wow, I'm kind of falling in love with this tank, gorgeous decorating job! And your little betta looks so sweet, it's fantastic that he's all better and living in that planted paradise now. :)

What kind of a tank is that? (Minibow?) and what size is it? You're giving me ideas for the next tank I set up...

Aww, well thank you very much. It was my first attempt at a planted tank and I love it so much I am now tearing down my 55g to make that into a planted tank.

The tank is an Aqueon Minibow in a 5 gallon. I really love the shape of it, but honestly, there are a few flaws if you're considering it. One, the filter is built in to the hood. This causes a dark shadow under the filter because it blocks the light. One side was lite nicely, the other side was dark. I ended up trashing it and buying an internal filter. The light bulb gives off a yellowish color. This wasn't a big deal to me because I was planning on changing the bulb anyway to one more suited for live plants. It might bother some that want to use the light it came with. Also, the acrylic scratches easily. I haven't seen a glass bow front in such a small size anywhere, so acrylic might be all you can get in bow front for this size tank. Overall, I love the shape, but although it came as a "kit" the only thing I am really using is the tank and hood.
