Wow!!! I feel so bad for these poor fish. It is like all of the other fish (mainly the saltwaters) get all of the attention and the bettas get nothing.

So he is still laying around the bottom, why is this? He won't even eat. He looks at the food and then continues to lay around.

He is still laying around and he won't eat. He doesn't even look up when I put the pellets in his tank.
I'm doing 50% water changes every day and adding BettaRevive.
Help!

What's the tank temperature and does he have a hiding spot? Sounds like he's either too cold or too stressed. Could be that you got a sick boy to begin with too.

Temperature is 69. I don't have any way of heating it...If I leave a mirror by his tank he will flare at it.
What is worrying me is that he hasn't eaten since Thursday. I tried to give him a freeze dried blood worm this morning and he refused it.

He's too cold. His metabolism has slowed down to compensate for the water temp. and he's going to act sluggish because of that.

What size tank do you have him in? I have one betta in a 1.5 gallon (he'll be moving soon - rescue boy). I have no problem keeping a 25w heater in the 1.5 gallon.

Scuito my betta was doing the same thing when the water was too cold. I ended up putting a small space heater near his tank and used that to try to keep the water at a consistant temp. He did eat more and was more active. (That was a couple of weeks ago). He is in a 10 gal tank now and the water is at 78 with some Corys, but I think he has other issues as he is getting very white around the mid-section of his body and not eating.

Good luck with your betta.
