Alpha has multiple signs of illness

Alpha has just recently been diagnosed, and treated for fin rot. He was doing fine until Freckles came into his life. Freckles is a new female sharing Alpha's ten gallon tank (divided) and was put into the tank on Sunday. Alpha has been going downhill since then. For one, he still has stress stripes that don't go away. Another thing is that he has a cloudy eye. Also, he has what looks like skin peeling off of his head. His fins are looking dullish too. What could be going on with him? I would be willing to buy Freckles a new tank, and just put her in the 1.5 gallon I have for tonight if that might help Alpha. Alpha gets very stressed over small little things like me putting my hand into his tank to fix a plant or anything like that, but he has been stressed for too long this time. What could this be? The water parameters are fine, and so is the temperature.

Just to let you know, he isn't eating, and hides in a little cave, or floats up at the top. I would appreciate any help, I don't want to let him continue on like this.

No. That's the weird thing. I am thinking his stress lower his imune system, therefore making him sick. Freckles likes to hide, but other than that, she doesn't have any of the symptoms Alpha does.

Freckles is now showing signs of illness. I am going to put her in the 1.5 gallon tank right now just so I can take care of them seperatly, and give Alpha his tank back.

It could be the stress
I read somewhere that stress could make them prone to diseases

I think he will do better with the tank all to himself. Freckles did fine in the vase I had her in for a night, so I am thinking she will do fine in the 1.5 gallon. I am going to try and find a way to keep the tank nice and warm for her, but on Thursday, I am definatly going to the store to get another ten gallon tank.

I just switched the sides they were on. Her side was bigger because I was going to put another divider in so I could get another betta later on. She is now in the smaller side, while he is in the larger side. He swam over to the other side, so his swimming is still okay.

Alpha swam around his side of the tank a little. Other than that, I don't know. I haven't seen them since last night. He still looked pretty bad when I left, but Freckles looked the same. I think she is fine. I am worried about Alpha though. If I would of known dividing his tank would make him sick, I would of never done it.
