The Kindness of Strangers.

I was in Petsmart today to get conditioner and of course happened by the bettas. They had an actual trolley out with SO many on it and there was a nice lady looking at them with me. We browsed through them and had a good chat and I found a pretty white purpley-blue one.

Now, before you know any more, know that I'm BROKE atm. One veil tail was a splurge for me today. With that said here was my issue: I found my little white female. I had no extra bowl or plant or stones if I were to get her and didn't have enough money in my account to buy all of it.

The lady I was speaking with was 100% convinced that I should get the lil girl. I hummed and hawwed and decided that despite my adoration for the lil girl I couldn't do it.

She bought the girl AND the stones for me.

Sweetest person in the world? I think so.

It blew my mind.

I told her about this site and I hope she signs up soon!!!

Wow! it's so great to know there are people like that out there! And it makes me slightly hopefull that one day I too can get a free betta. ;)

She did get a gorgeous blue and white crowntail, and I believe she mentioned she had 8 already. I told her we were picture happy at this site so I'm sure once she posts his pic I'll know it. :) She was mentioning how she was gonna sneak him past her hubby. lol

And yes, as of today I have 10. I had 9 and Goldy (my first) passed away a few days ago. I was in for conditioner today and bammo! Two more lil muffins to take home.

I have a large baker's rack which 8 of the bowls sit on in my family room, one bowl in my room on my tall boy dresser (Currently Abalon's...the newest boy) and Murdoch owns the dining room table in his fancy snifter style bowl.




The pics turned out really dark, sorry...it's not really a cave in here. lol

What a great story. The woman is obviously an animal/betta lover and took the opportunity to give another fishy a great home through you.

There are kind generous people out there - they're just getting a little harder to find these days.
