New female, New baby?

I wasn't sure which forum to place this in but I just brought home a beautiful little female betta (first female) but she's so small! She's just over an inch long and I was curious to how old she might be?
I also really need some name ideas!
Thanks so much!

Looks like 3-5 months, but to be honest with those (good) racing stripes it's too soon to tell if it'll be a girl or a boy. Either way a beautiful ct.

I was just reading about the stripes on juvenile betta's and I realized that she's much younger than I was expecting. How can pet stores claim such a young fish's gender? Anywho though, thank you so much! And I am very new to all the betta talk so would you mind explaining "ct"? I would also love a second opinion, does she look healthy?

Doesn't look like a crowntail to me. I have a crowntail female and she looks nothing like that one. Yours is cute though! It may be too young to tell whether it's male or female, but it does look like a female to me. Either veiltail or a plakat. c:

Judging from size, most probably a 3-4 month old female (fins are too small to be a male). 2 rays suggest she is either VT or traditional PK (long body suggest VT while small fins suggest PK), but definitely not CT (no protruding rays)

Well it looks like I have lots of research to do! Thank you all so much and I'm curious to see what she'll(if she is a she) grow up to look like! :)
