Please help very frustrated..

Nemo has been like this for a couple of weeks. I am using Macaryn now, he is swimming more but he has not had a drop of food in almost a month.

Does he have Dropsy? It looks like his scales are pine-coned

I believe he does. I am 4 days into his Macaryn treatments so I am hoping that does the trick but I wasn't sure if I should be doing more.

I'm not completely sure about treatments. look on bettysplendens.com and they have a chart somewhere on there.

Thanks Scuito, as always, great info on this site.

I checked it out on the chart, good info there as well....although his outlook is bleak. He has been like that for awhile and I think I reacted too slowly. I am really mad at myself for that!

I hope he is not suffering too much.

Don't beat yourself up about it.
Before I came to this site I didn't know anything about bettas so when they were sick I reacted with a, "Oh, they are just having a lazy day."

Well the poor guy didn't last the day. I took my daughter to school, ran a couple of errands and when I came back he was gone.
I won't let that happen again for sure.

sorry for your loss. Even when caught early dropsy is VERY hard to defeat. Don't feel too bad.
