Unhappy i don't understand..

i'm really concerned about ace. it's been a week now and he STILL hasn't eaten yet. and he sits at the top of the bowl all day. he doesn't show any signs of illness though, other than not eating and he just sits at the top of the bowl. his water is 76 degrees, i've changed it 3 times since i got him, his colors are nice and bright(he's absolutely gorgeous now)..i just don't get it. i'm going to keep offering him pellets, but man. i hope he's alright this is the longest it's taken for any of my bettas to adjust to their new home. any advice?

i also just noticed he's barely using his right pectoral fin. and his right gill opens really really wide when he moves, like he's having trouble breathing..i don't think he's going to make it much longer..my poor little guy ;-(

Oh no!! I'm so sorry. Don't you hate it when it's not obvious?

I guess the best you can do is keep him warm and make it easier for him to reach the water surface. Add a little AQ salt to the tank too. Have you tried feeding him a frozen bloodworm or two?

I'm having the SAME problem with my new boy Dragner. I'd add a heater if you can, I got Dragner's tank up to 80 and now he is swimming around. Still won't eat though....I've had Dragner for a week also

well he's still here..but i mean, he hasn't eaten at all since i first got him so i can't imagine he'll make it much longer. i feel so bad for him. i'm going to just keep offering them, and remove them after a while if he doesn't eat them. it's really wierd though about his right side, it's like he's hurt or something but there's nothing to show it. ugh.

Turn the heat up. My Fish only move when they are warm and 76 seems cold to me :/ (Well i keep my tanks at 82 so i think thats just me lol :D )

Good luck though!!! maybe he has an internal infection or something??

Like my Male betta had external and internal infection and his outside cleared up really fast but still wasnt eating. SO i continued with his medication and the next 2 days he ate (must have been his insides?) But now he's a strong champ
