New Tank, and one very happy fish!

I went to my parents house to look for my 15 gal, and it had a huge crack in it. Boooo.

So, I did some research and walmart has a 5gal tank setup that had great reviews for 30 bucks. I bought it, and its perfect. Came with everything but the heater and decorations. Earl is SO happy!

Here it is....

I'm considering getting a snail or a few mollies to put in with him since he's got so much space. The plants are a mixture of plastic and silk, I'm planning on eventually switching to live plants.

I'm also going to check out my old legos at my parents house tonight and see if there are any of my pirate sets left. I think that'd be kinda cool with the gravel & stones I've got so far.

What do you guys think?

I think you have one gorgeous fishy. The Lego idea sounds awesome. Or in pirate-speak "Rrrrrrsome"

(I need more coffee) :)

Your betta is gorgeous. I don't think I would add another fish but a snail would make a great tank mate in a 5 gallon.

Thanks! I was thinking about it, and I think I'll go with a shrimp or snail like you said.

Brilliant! love it. Like others have said i dont think a 5 is big enough for faster swimmers than Betta's, you could possibly get some white cloud minnows, or an African dwarf frog!

But snails are great to, i have an apple snail in with my goldies, he loves algae

I'd get a snail instead of fish. Looks like he's loving his home!
