When/how to add fish to sorority?

I have four female bettas (Ami, Drina, and 2 no names). I think that the two new girls can come out of quarantine, I have had them since Thursday, and they aren't showing signs of anything. Both happy and healthy.
I think now is a good time to add all of the girls to the 10g sorority. My tank has been up since Thursday, and there is plenty of hiding spots.

The thing is, is that I'll be leaving tomorrow morning and won't be back until Wednesday midday. My mom is going to take care of my fish for me. So I don't know, shouldn't I be here to make sure no one gets hurt? I'll be here tonight, but still.

And what behavior can I expect when I add them to the tank?

Am I getting ahead of myself? Should I wait till I get back Wednesday?

I would wait until you are there to watch them for at least a day. I was reading up on when to introduce a bunch of girls into the tank, and most websites said to watch them for 2-3 days. My dad told me I had to put my girls in the tank tomorrow, or else he will do it himself, I won't be there to watch them for more than 4 hours. I am thinking about taking them back to my moms house.

You can expect a little bit of aggression for awhile, but if they are really going after each other, I would isolate the problem maker for awhile.

I would wait a full 2 weeks, just to make sure they are ok.

Okay thank you! I think it is best to wait to add them. Noko, I would do the same. Its too risky. And where it is 7:34PM here, that would only be 2 or 3 hours I could watch them.

Looks like you got your answers but I wanted to add:

It is best to add them when you will be able to keep a pretty close eye on them for 2-3 days. My first three started out iffy and then the second day there was some aggression and a little more the third day. But since then they have calmed down and no one even flares any more. When I added the fourth girl I took the original three out and put her in first and haven't had any problems at all.

Wohoo! I was able to drive home before the storm hit. Gotta love winter! So I can add them tonight!!! =D I'll probably be home all day tomorrow.

Thank you! I'm actually going to add them tomorrow morning. Ami is doing this weird pacing thing in the 10g (swimming from one side to the other, doesn't even notice if i tap on the glass).

Good luck... where do you get your girls?? I am in Maine as well... Petco here has a lot but I am wondering if there is anywhere else to find a female? And so much for the snow storm!! Grr... I was hoping for more snow!
