The obsession starts: New CT Male, and possibly sick VT

Haha, I talked my boyfriend into wanting a betta of his very own. I also talked him into a CT. :D He's really cool looking. Is he a dragon CT? I guess I don't have a good enough eye to know. He's very active, and young looking I think?



He's pretty small, which is why I thought he may be a younger fish. Very happy in his new tank.


Also, my other fish Alf, seems sick. He looks bloated, but I don't feed him that much.... 1 - 2 pellets in the AM and PM. He isn't very active. Actually, he seems... old. Like a senior citizen. I checked his levels and they are all normal. His tank is at about 79 degrees. He's got aquarium salt, and I've treated the water and everything. I fasted him today to see if the bloat would go down... it looks the same. Like there is a little ball in his abdomen. Here is a picture from tonight.



I feel bad for him. He rests at the bottom of the tank or on a plant most of the time. It's weird. Thoughts?

Hmm, he could just be getting old. They tend to do that. Mine have defined a abdomen also. He might be going through a spell, do a partial water change?

Your new CT is gorgeous!! The VT looks like he's a little bloated. I would fast him (stop feeding him) for a couple days and see if it goes down. Their stomachs are supposedly the size of their eyes so you have to be careful with feeding them.
