3 Gallon on his own, or 10 with some minnows?

Hey,

Well im getting a betta fish very soon, ive just freed up a tank by buying a new one so after that has cycled my moves will take place.

The dilemma im facing though, is that i have 3 minnows in a 3Gal tank, but they will ideally need to be moved up to the 10 Gallon, that previously held my African dwarf frogs, but these will now be going in the newly purchased 20G tank. If i put the new Betta in the 10gallon, which i would like to do, do you think he would prefer it, bearing in mind he will be living with 3 minnows? would he prefer to be in a heated, and filtered 3Gal on his own?

I'd try him in the 10g and see if he does well, but if he doesn't just put him in the 3g! Simple. :)
