Trouble with eggs

I have a pair in the breeding tank and they have been trying to embrace for about 2 hours and they can't seem to get it right...eggs are coming out but its not during embrace because he keeps sliding off before the eggs come out. Could the eggs possibly be fertilized or does it have to be during embrace....?

If they have never spawned before it can take ages for them to get the hang of wrapping.

Some of my virgin pairs have spent hours spawning, versus the one to two hours it can take for my more experienced pairs.

Just wait and see. You might be surprised once they are done, with how many viable eggs you actually have.
