Talking Ok it's official i'm addicted!!!!
Long story short I responded to an ad on craigslist for a free betta set-up everything included plus extras you can search my thread it explains how the womens little 4 year old girl took the betta out of the tank and threw it on the floor. The week after that I saw another ad on craigslist for a fish tank for $5 bucks plus get a free betta I couldn't turn down so I picked it up and the betta was next to dead it had all kinds of problems if you search for my thread it has pics and all the details...I saved that poor guy. Now I went last night and picked up another 5g tank for $4 bucks with a free betta and extra tank free so that makes 3 VT's and I bought 2 CT's from petsmart as well because I always get extra tanks from these real nice people when I pick up these fish I'm buying/saving. Thanks for all the great info on this site I went from a betta noob to being able to care for 5 bettas at once no problem.

Good job and welcome to the addiction that we all have XD I started off with one betta, had him for a year then started working at petsmart and found myself taking more home XP

I know how you feel! I only have 2 bettas but they are my life. I always beg my mom to take me to petco and petsmart! I also got my friend addidicted as well. She now as 2 bettas and her mom hates that i made her daughter addidicted to betta fish! lolz welcome to the addidicted to betta fish area!

Your friend could be addicted to a lot worse! I would much rather have my kids be into fish than into drugs and who knows what else!

Watch in about a year or two you'll be buying 100 jars two tanks heaters filters and live food :P
