Hey, I am almost absolutely sure my betta has dropsy. But I don't know how to cure it. Do you?

Its bacterial. You need a gram positive bacteria treatment ie Maracyn 2.

You can try to treat it, but I have not had any success treating it. One of my boys died of dropsy. I tried salt, maracyn 2. Everything. He hung on for over a month.

Hope your guy will be OK. Sorry about him.

Dropsy can be treated but not cured from what I've read.

Can I ask what his diet's like? Is he pineconing? Does he look like he swallowed a marble? Bloat is a lot more common in bettas than dropsy.

Yes, he's pineconing. And we feed him Betta Bio-Gold. We used to feed him 3 pellets twice a day, but he stopped eating so we started feeding him 2. But he still won't eat.

Sorry to hear the bad news about your Sparkle. Sometimes we try so hard to help them but some illnesses are out of our control.

Sorry to hear about that :(

Here is some basic info on Drospy in fish:
Fish dropsy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hopefully you can figure out what may have caused it and prevent it in the future.
RIP.
