help filterflow is it enuf 2 keep them healthy

hi ive set up a 10 gallon tank this plants that i intend to keep 1 male betta in and as i did my research i became aware that they dont like too much water flow or surface disruption, so i got a sponge filter and a pump recomended for my tank size but having set it up the surface disruption is great but it doesnt seem to have much filtration, i read the air pump box and it is only cycling the tank volume 3.5 times!!! is that enuf to keep my betta healthy????? everythnig else checks out fine - ph, hardness, amonia etc.:

the normal underwater filters are too strong for bettas. ok for females but males hate them. i use a marina filter the sucks up the water at the bottom and lets it out the top in a fairly gentle curtain which doesnt cause alot of current at all. they are completely silent too.

you could also get something like this extension; it reduces current and is good for airation BUT its noisy

you could take a water bottle and cut it in half so it has a little lip. Then just hot glue it to the bottom of where the water comes out. it works great! and cheap

You don't need very much flow for one fish,
it's fine for 1 betta
