Just get one that you connect with, one that catches your eye. You'll know him when you see him. :)

This is probably a total coincidence, but all (4) of the HMs I bought from petco have ended up being tail biters. The CTs (2) from petco have been fine as has my DBT. My VT from petco started biting only when his tank mate from the other side of the fence was put in a hospital tank.

But then again, as my husband pointed out, I am the common denominator. maybe I make my fish crazy cause I constantly mess with them and their tanks? sigh.

Anyway, it seems from my observations that HMs and VTs tend to bite their tails more because they are longer and heavier, maybe. Just something to keep in mind.

well, i always go by color and finnage for some reason...
but if i were you id go for a fin type you dont have yet.
and contrast his colors to the fish you have. makes it
interesting if you have a red fish beside a blue or green etc

Whoever catches ur eye, my fish Lync was my first, but he wasn't even close to da prittiest in petco, but I guess I felt that he would be a good fish. Keep in mind that I went to get a CT, but lync (hes a VT) caught my eye.

Idk, wat im saying might be a load of crap to others, I've had lync da longest, with no problems, ironic isn't it.

Akiro was a whole different story, he was sick, and had something wrong with his spine, and he turned out to be my funniest fish.

I really want a HM though, alright well, i'll shut up now

here is my final 2 cents, whoever catches ur eye

finally, i know i've rambled too much, but I would like a delta tail too

okay shutting up now

Lol k stiles! When I knew I was going to buy a fish, I would go in with a picture in my mind and I'd come out with the total opposite.lol I know you want another one, but I would take my time, ask the stores when they get new shipments in and keep looking. Since this is your last fish, you want to make sure you're getting your dream buddy! :)
