I set up a split 6 gallon tank a week ago so petrie & stewie r now tankmates. Ive noticed petrie seems real annoyed he flicks around the front of the tank like hes trying to get out. The divider is made of the crafting plastic mesh so they know each other r there but arent in each others faces. I was wondering if this is normal? Do they get used to it?

can they see each other thru the divider? I'm still new at this but I think I read somewhere that it is bad/stress if they see each other and flare alot??

Yeah they can see each other a little. Petrie isnt really flaring though like I said hes flicking back & forth at the front of the tank.

He seems to be doing better. I got them each a new plant to swim in & they both seem pretty happy right now.

It would be a good idea to put plants up against both sides of the divider so they can't really see each other. They'll eventually get used to it though.
