Unhappy -sniff sniff- I'm worried

I'm really worried about my new male betta, Flash. A year ago, my male betta, Diamond died, and so I got Flash. Well, before Diamond died, he wasnt active, he was just lying there on the gravel, and he wasnt eating. It's wednesday now, and i got Flash on sunday. Well, when i transferred him into the tank the first 2 days, he was fighting with his reflection or something. Well on the back of the tank, there's a background of the sea reefs. Well he was looking at that, and he was "fighting" it. well today he stoped, and he just lies there, but he still eats.I'm so worried. I don't want him to die.

How big is your tank and how warm is the water? The reason why some fish lay on the bottom and don't eat is because they're cold. A betta needs water temperatures of at least 75-80 degrees [near that range] for it to be happy.

Also, some fish don't like to have backgrounds on their tanks because it makes the surface more reflective and cause them to be agitated by their reflection constantly.

Give us a little bit more of information about your tank set-up and that'll help us figure out what's wrong.
