garlic & pellets

I know some of you use garlic to help with parasites. I was wondering if it would be ok to use some juice from the minced garlic in a jar and soak the pellets in it? I would keep them in the fridge and maybe feed them once a day with it just in case there are parasites (just preventative). Would this work ok? I'd rather not have to crush up the garlic myself :-/ There is phosphoric acid in the garlic as a preservative... would this harm the fish?

any input is appreciated. Thank you!

I think that's the best place to get it honestly, lucky for you! When I learned about garlic, they all said the same thing "You should use it from a jar with pre-minced garlic. It's simpler." So yes, there shouldn't be any problems.

I feed mine garlic-soaked, every day, every meal. Never any harm in it - it's just food.

And i think all fish food has phosphate in it? I just got that from people attempting to fishless cycle (To Put in food in the tank. Howver some complained of growing phosphate levels).

Plus garlic doesn't only help with parasites, but with fin-growth too. Have fun :)

Kuklachica, I was wondering the same thing. I don't buy fresh garlic but I have a jar of the minced kind.

Well most of the people who recommended garlic to me said they used it from that kind of jar. Again, I think it's perfectly fine too.

Really? Fresh garlic doesn't hurt obviously, but I haven't exactly heard that. I don't use fresh garlic myself.

Yeah, I use fresh garlic too and it can be a pain, but I don't mind.

Jarred stuff always has preservatives and other chemicals in it.. better and safer to go with the real stuff.

Just curious, how do you do this with the fresh garlic?
