Absolutely ridiculous

Argh! Tail biting! Will it ever end? lol. Dane was perfectly fine, had him for a month, then one morning, I don't feed him (I was hoping to change to feeding only at night to save time in the AM) and BAM - edge completely gone when I got home. Since then he has nibbled more and more... Here is his before:

And tonight:

If only he knew how ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS he looked, he would stop!! The edges have actually started growing back over the last 2 days, but you can't really see in the pics.

Just thought I'd share these because I can't believe how ridiculous he looks. And how beautiful he used to be

BTW, he is in a divided hospital tank to treat the biting with aquarium salt and while his real tank gets cycled.

Oh no!!! A lot of people are dealing with tail bitters. I wish we could just shake them. I used to yell at mine when I saw ripped My family probably thinks I'm nuts yelling at my fish.

It's so frustrating, isn't it? Joachim shredded his tail just as it was starting to grow back...

You know what you should do? Get a girl and put her next to him in the divided tank. It should really help. Poor Pax was shredding his tail for a while, but he loves Ivy SO Much and hasn't bitten in a month or so!!!!
