Man I could keep mine in a pond during the summer months and then tank them through the winter lol it gets HOT here in FL.

No. None of my guys are show quality. My new HMPK really isn't all that. But I am hoping to get 1 or 2 fish myself at the auction. Some will be fish from the show and others will just be shipped specifically for the auction so its possible that I could get a really really nice fish for really cheap. They're starting at $3

Haha.. I'm giving myself a $30 budget. Thats $15 per fish or I can go all $30 on one fish if there is one I REALLY want.

My most well adjusted and healthy fish is in a fully planted 16 gallon with driftwood pieces, Indian almond leaf and lots of hidey holes. Normally they would hunt and I see him doing that all day (of course he never finds anything, poor guy). I think it helps with their stress levels to have a small world to interact with. It's more natural to me for them to be busy in their little homes.
