Unhappy sick betta!!

Hello, my betta has been showing symptoms of constipation for the fast few days. His tummy is huge, he's barely swimming. He rests at the bottom of the tank or near the top. I know this is a result of overfeeding. I tried to give him a thawed pea like suggested but he's not eating it. What can I do?

3 gallon tank, filtered, 80 degrees, cycled, and betta is the only inhabitant.

help please!

I would fast him for 2 or 3 days, then feed him some daphnia. Daphnia is a more natural alternative to peas.

You can use epsom salt 1tsp/gal along with daily water changes and hold all food during treatment, it can take from 24h to a week to work depending on how plugged he is.
I like to do this treatment in a small QT with bare bottom so I can watch for waste and treat for at least 3 days past the first stool as long as they are producing waste every day and tummy is reducing in size. I make 100% water change with the epsom salt water that I have pre-mixed in a 1gal jug to ensure correct dosage. Fasting is very important during treatment.

Fasting means withholding food for a day or two, or longer...
