Fin Rot

Hi! I have read all threads having to do with fin rot and bettas but I still have some questions.

I keep my betta in a 2 gallon tank I recently got. I don't have room for a bigger one right now. He has had fin rot for awhile. I did see them begining to heal a few months back but now it's only getting worse now. All of his fins have tears/rips in them. I see people suggesting aquarium salt,is there a particular band I should use?? Thank you for any help.

And just FYI,I do regularly change his water,he has a filter and a heating lamp.

Could you take a picture of his tail? Do you have anything that he could have caught his tail on (plastic plants, filter?) A 2G is perfect for him, but if you wanted to get a bigger tank, go ahead. :) Have you ever seen him chasing his tail like a dog? I use API aquarium salt and I haven't had any issues with it.

I thought about the plants and filter, but I didn't think that was the issue since he had it before I changed him to a bigger tank. His top fin also has damage that appeared yesterday.

I change his water every 3 days. Should I do it more often?
