New camera, what do you think?

About a week and a half ago I was received an early birthday present from my parents, a Nikon D3200 camera. It's my first real camera and it's been a lot of fun trying to figure it out. Photography is something I actually really enjoy, and my fish are my favorite subjects! I love having a small piece of their energy and personality captured forever. Here are some of my favorite pictures that I've gotten, just thought I'd share with all my fellow fish lovers!

Ahhhh awesome!! I love the little cellophane looking at the black sand like "What is this?" lol. They've got such great expression and personality! I too like photography, I'm a Nikon girl, but I have yet to make time to do a "photo session" with my boy :)

Thank you all so much! I really appreciate your feedback. :)

Laserflair62- Thank you! :) The cellophane is Penelope, she's a very silly girl indeed. XD And you should do it! It's so much fun! All of my bettas but one seem to get strangely hyper when I pull out the camera. I think they enjoy the attention!
The Blur and Sabina88- Thank you guys! Yes, the crowntail is Rigsby; I was lucky enough to get my camera right after he started marbling, after seven months of being pure blue, and so have been making sure to take lots of photos of him to document the process! He's already changed since these pictures from a few days ago and has a dorsal fin that is currently black, white, pink, orange, and blue. It's very odd but fun to watch!

BEAUTIFUL! 8D If you have any questions about using the settings let me know, I have a cannon Rebel T3i but they are pretty much the same when it comes to the settings. ;)

Laserflair62- I know that feeling! I'm already really bad at deleting and sorting through pictures, whoops.

Tree- Thank you very much! :) That means a lot coming from you, I've always seen your pictures around and they are gorgeous.
I was actually wondering about that! I'm still trying to figure the camera out; so far it seems that the sports setting is best for the fish, but that's about all I really know that I'm doing. I'm still not the best with all the technical terms.
If you don't mind me asking, which settings do you use?

Lovely photos!

I like to use macro for my fish photos.

I almost got a Canon! We went with a Nikon in the end because my mom has one as well, and some other lenses that she said I could borrow whenever. I was so close though! XD
Thank you so much! :) That's actually first on my list of lenses to get; I've seen some pictures taken with macro lenses and they're just so awesome! I'm not sure which one to go with though, and I have to save up the money first. If I don't get one in the next seven months I guess there's always Christmas.
