Question 10g or 20g?

I'm going to spend $100 on my next tank, which I'm dividing between Neon and that copper dragon. The copper dragon is in either 5 or 10 gallons right now (not exactly sure x.x) and Neon is in 10 gallons.

Around here 10 gallon kits cost $45, and 20 gallon kits cost $75. I'll be spending around $100 on the tanks (it'll take me 3 more months to save up that much ._. only get $25 a month) Both are compatible in communities.

So which should I go for? I'll divide either in half. The 10 gallon divided where each Betta gets 5 gallons, and it's stuffed to the rim with a lot of decor c=

Or divide a 20 gallon and have a small community on either side with more room, but have only $25 to spend on divider and substrate and hiding places so the tank looks pretty baren and the males see eachother easier, but have a lot more room to move around and some cory buddies.

Which option should I go with? I'd put up a poll but don't know how to lol.

Well if you're willing to wait another month to save up another hundred I'd go for the twenty gallon! =] I don't know about putting a community on each side but I do like the idea of a larger divided tank. =]

Good luck with whatever you choose! =]

Get the 20 gallon! It doesn't matter if the males see each other much. My males have no plants blocking the divider, and they flare when they want, but mostly ignore each other. Eventually they realize that the divider is a territory boundary.

I think I will do the 20g!

Besides, I can buy a 3 pack of beautiful silk plants for $8... that means 9 plants, and then the next month 18 plants 0.0 DIY dividers are cheap... and I can get a $5 10 pound bag of sand, or $3 20 pound bag of pea gravel 0-0

If you have the space for a 20g. get a 20g!
I would love to get 20g eventually and divide it up 3 ways...i don't have the space for a 20 gallon at the moment though.

Since the empty 10g are only 12.99 at my petco near my house, What I plan on doing is buy two of those..set them up side by side and set up a overhead light kinda thing for my live plants eventually.
