No. It might grow back, or he might have a deformed tail.

You can tell that he's not a DBT because his dorsal isn't broad enough.

Looks to me like one gorgeous normal VT boy who blew his fin :) With clean water and a bit of AQ salt, it should heal up nicely in not too long ;)

I think it may be the plants in his new tank. I will have to take them out and get some safer ones.

One of my beautiful VT's did the same thing to his tail when I put him in larger surroundings...stupid "owner" put what he thought was a "pretty plant" in for the fish...plant had kinda sharp tips...STUPID OWNER! Time for the "owner" to "sharpen" up, don't ya think? LOL.

Test the plants on a pair of pantyhose. If they don't snag or tear, vthey're okay for your betta.
