flaring preferences lol

its funny. i've experimented with the layout of my tanks because i noticed that the boys prefer to flare with certain boys.. for example;

salmon flares at them all but not long with draco (then goes pale and hides)
ghost wont flare with any boy atm...
draco flares at them all, incl females
and maehk wont flare with ghost but with all others...

none of my boys flare at objects, but do at reflections, except ghost (caus he's more or less see-through ha ha ha)

does your fish flare only with certain boys?
caus i didnt know they dont bother with some lol

is it size, color or what that influences that?

Lucky only flares @ his reflections.

I had one fish that only flared at a Hot Wheel that I had haha. Chance flares at anything, but not for long. Haze flares at only Fishy. Fishy and Fru won't flare at all yet.

Merlot flares at Leilani and Fernando. Jaden used to flare at a red pen. Leilani flared at Reina. None of the others flare at anything, not even their reflections. lol

Haha, most of mine flare at each other and at mirrors.
I have these little animals that I got in mexico with little bobbling heads and Mr. Red always flares at the goat one. Hehe.

voodoo and Lt shiny sides will flare at any fish, but they will flare at each other literally alllllll dayyyy long. sometimes im worried they are going to kill them selves attacking the tanks

All of mine (except the newbies) flare at the mirror and occasionally their reflection in the glass. If they get a chance to see each other they will flare also. I'm actually thinking of getting one of these..


So I can put a boy on each side and let them flare so I can get pictures (not as a tank.. just a 5 minute deal). I actually saw a used one at my thrift store for $1 so I might get it and make my own divider for it.

Freedy only flares at himself and sometimes me if he's feeling feisty, no object seems to trigger him. :/

Caesar flares at everything, including me!
Kovu only flares at his tank reflection, and other fish, but not a mirror reflection,
and Strawberry flares at both his tank reflection and mirror reflection, but nothing else.

I only have one (hopefully soon too be 2; not garunteing anything) and he only flares @ himself or me.
