5 gallon tank for a good price?

Hey guys, I'm trying to look for a 5 gallon tank for a good price. If it comes with a heater and filter already with it, that's even better! Or if not, what ones should I look at?

I want to try not to go over 30-40 dollars for a tank if I can. :-/

DOnt buy any of the heaters from walmart. They suck. My topfin from petsmart is only like 17 bucks and its lasted me a few months no prob

Seconded. In petstores you can get a tank kit for $40 but this usually does not include 'surprise costs' like a heater, gravel, and decorations which will drive your price up to more like 70 or 80.

On craigslist you can easily fish 5g setups with EVERYTHING included for $20 or less. Also most of these tanks are in mint condition and have only been used for a few months because the previous owner did something stupid like put a goldfish in the tank.

Also it sounds morbid but this is the time of year when ill-researched Christmas gifts pass away from lack of care and the parents decide to sell the tank.

The walmart heaters are fine. IMO. For people on a budget the walmart tetra 2-15 gallon heater for $13 is fine. Keeps my water right at 77.

problem with those heaters is that they can't be adjusted in case of illness. the heater i linked to is only about $14 shipped and can be adjusted. it's much better than the walmart one i bought previously.
