thinking out loud... again

Thinking getting rid of my 20 gallon tall. The height/size just seems too big for my 4 guys. I can't seem to find a 20 long anywhere though. Grr!

I found this on CL:

http://maine.craigslist.org/for/1636154213.html

Do you think that would be too big/tall? I have 8 boys and I would probably put 5 of them in there... does this make any sense?? Or will I have the same issues (too big and too few fish)??

if i were to keep more than 2 or 3 bettas in a divided tank i would personally do a 55. i have an entire 10 gallon devoted to my 1 male betta. to me the more space a fish can have the better. in a 30 gal i would try and only divide it 3 ways....20 long only in half. JMO

to me a tank can never be too big with too little fish, then youre less likely to over stock

I think if you divided it into 4 or 5 sections it would look nice. As long as each fish has about 5+ inches of horizontal space I think it would be ok. I don't know if I would do 6 sections.
