Java moss carpet

I have been searching high and low for plastic mesh for weeks but have had no such luck so last night I went rummaging through my fathers garage and found a fishing net that he used back in the day, anyway I didn't think the netting would be big enough but I tried it anyway and to my relief it fits perfectly in side my 2.4 tank :) I just hope it works, fingers crossed. Its not as tight as I would have liked but my sewing is rather amateur actually very amateur, I should have paid more attention in school lol.

Nice!! It certainly looks like it'll do the job. Your fish will be so happy when it starts to grow out of the holes!

It actually did look like a hair net lol, it's actually for my shrimp nd snail tank and to make my day even better I just tested the PH and it's 8.8, I don't even know how it got that high all I had in it were 2 muscle shells and 2 small pieces of cuttlebone and last week when I tested it it was 7.4 so now I'm happy lol

I have also used the shower sponge things, like this, cut the center string, then cut the mesh to make it fit whatever I've needed. I've put java moss on a terracotta piece, then spread this over it and zip-tied the mesh underneath and the moss grew right through it. It is perfect! Just thought I'd throw this idea out there as well!

Thats a great idea, think I'll be trying that next if this moss works lol. I have the mesh held down by small rocks but they are actually on top of some of the moss do you reckon those parts will die?
