spliting up a tank.

i have a long 35 gallon tank and i wanted to to divide it up into 7 5 gallon sections. would that be okay for the fish? if i used glass dividers, how would the filtration system work? would i just get 7 small filters for each section? help please

You can drill some very small holes into the glass. someone here did it I remember, just can' remember how, maybe they will see this thread to help out.

okay thanks. i would have never thought of that. but would the water still reach the far ends?

Maybe a canister filter with some fancy piping on the outlet? People say don't mess with canister filter piping, or you will get an overflow. But that's if you try to use one filter on more than one tank.

Also if the dividers allow allot of water flow, maybe just two filters would do? One on each side.
