Red face Silk plants vs. silk plants

Is there a difference between the silk plants they sell for fish, and the silk plants that are found in craft sections? I swear I've seen many tanks that are using regular silk plants that wouldn't be found in the fish aisle. It sure would give a lot more variety to choose from! Would it be safe? (talking just leaf/grass types, not anything with Styrofoam balls)

Yep! Most are safe. Just soak them in water for a few days to make sure the color doesn't leach out.

Just make sure they don't have any wire in them!

OH!! Wire! I didn't even think of that. Thanks for reminding me. I'll be sure not to use any wire ones. :)

I just cut the wire off of some plants I got at Michael's. I bought some fern leaves and made a big leafy plant out of it, my boy loves it!
