Gravel colors/types?

I'm re-doing my tanks and am wondering what your opinions are on:

Color? I would like something natural (no blues or raspberries, etc.). Any input on certain colors and how they age/discolor?

Type? I like gravel type, not sand, and not large rocks. Any input??

Brand? Any better than others?

Thanks! (or should I saw "tanks"?? :)

i have natural colored gravel in my tank, it hasn't discolored or anything. It's very similar to pea gravel, just more uniform sizes, and it's from wal-mart, not real pea gravel. I love it.

I've only had white, black, and natural colored gravel. I'd definitely go with the natural gravel color. i've never seen a tank look bad with it.
The white gravel after awhile gets discolored, so I'd avoid that.

I just used some natural coloured gravel from Walmart. No complaints-I like how it looks. :)
