I've dealt with parasites too, it's not fun at all! Do you have daphnia? I used Jungle Parasite Clear medication. I bought the food also, but it tasted nasty to them and they refused to eat it.lol I had to treat all 19 fish with it because it can be very contagious. There's also a medication that's stronger than Jungle because some people think it doesn't work. It starts with an L and you can get it at your vets office. Let me find the name.

It's called Levamisole. I also gave all of mine pellets soaked in garlic and they loved it. It's a natural remedy that works a lot slower than medication though. So I would use both medication and the garlic pellets. If you can get your hands on daphnia first, that would be better. Since you don't know for sure if he has parasites, but if his poop is forming a white mucus it could be.

Where can I find daphnia? Do places like petco sell it?

I don't want to spend a lot of money :(

Can I add the parasite clear to his tank? And should i add to all of their tanks?

Petco might sell it. Petsmart doesn't or at least mine doesn't have the freeze dried. . I think Petsmart might have the frozen daphnia.

I added the medication to all of my tanks. Kelly told me that it won't harm my other fish if they don't have parasites.
