Please help!!

Hiii please help me, im not sure if this is the right place to post this but im panicking a little bit. my betta haru was flaring up earlier at his reflection in the glass of the tank and now hes not flaring but the gill on his right side is stuck out!! is this normal? does it happen?? im so worried! its been stuck out for about 10 minutes now and its not going back down!

Has this happened to anyone before...its still up. I dont know whats wrong.

that has happened to my guy a few times, and after while ( not sure how long) it goes back to normal. But this one is better for an expert

ok thanks, Im just keeping a close eye on him. i just put a new plant in and did a water change so it was a stressful day for him....maybe its stress?? i dont know, I hope hes OK =[

i doubt new plants cause stress =] i would not worry to much. As long as you did a proper water change and made it as stress free as you could for him, he should be fine =] Maybe even give him a lil treat =] After my water changes, i treat my kids to freeze dried blood worms =]

its still staying up and he keeps flaring up in this little corner at the filter freaking out and not moving from that spot....i dont even think he can see his reflection in the filter....maybe im just being paranoid...its my first fish.

I tried giving him a bloodworm and he refused it :S hes just totally engrossed in flaring up at the filter...

hmmm something about the filter is irritating him or something about it. Maybe try moving the filter to a different spot? Not sure, what else. I hope an expert sees this =]

Sometimes mine also refuse their treats, it happens =]

ok thanks. at least telling someone has calmed me down again lol its my first fish and i just got him recently i would be devastated if something serious was wrong :S i moved the filter and stuck a couple leaves in the crack where he may have been able to see his reflection buuut hes still going back there now and flaring at it.....i wonder what it is about the filter...it wasnt until today he had a problem with it.
