I'm going to Argentina! I'm soooooooo excited. I'll be even more excited to learn Spanish! How long did you have Rowan? I'm sorry he died. :(

And thanks for the compliment about the tank, dramaqueen. :)

Oh, that's really cool! Do you already know some Spanish? I wanted to be a foreign exchange student, but well, it's too late now. Almost graduated. :) Always studying abroad in college though!

I got him in August last year. I now have another betta, Cade, and 3 otocinclus catfish in a 10 gallon that I'm happy with.

Your fish and tank are very nice! I have the same tank for my small girl. That's so exciting that you're going to Argentina! If you bring a camera, make sure to take lots of pictures, we LOVE seeing pictures. :)

Donde va a ir en Argentina?(Translation: Where are you going to in Argentina?)

Also, that is a very nice fish and tank you have. I had the same tank until the filter died and I got a new one. One thing you could always do is get a cave for your betta, I got a small one and my fish would always go under it and look out at me and would commonly rest there at night.

Hi and welcome.

I have never been able to cycle my 1.5 gallon tanks so I use them as hospital tanks.
You should get a 25w submersable heater that's adjustable too. I wouldn't take a chance on anything that is preset in that small space.
As for plants, I suggest a leafy silk plant and a little barrel type cave for sleeping. Make sure there are no sharp edges on any decor that could snag and tear his fins.

I do 30-50% water changes twice a week or more if I see any poop or uneaten food in the tanks.

Good luck and congrats on your new buddy.
