LOL yes for now im going to keep him by himself in the tank. I give him lots of human interaction and he always comes to greet me when I visit. Also he doesnt seem to be a mellow betta so far, hes always swimming around and flaring up at the slightest glance of his reflection lol so cute! Id really like to post some pictures soon because his colouring is so strange, I havnt been able to find a betta picture on the net with the same colouring...=p
If you wanted a "tankmate" you could always divide the tank and have two bettas. My 10 gallon is divided in half and I love it. I do have snails in mine but my fish don't seem to mind.
Alright, just FYI, if you want to add in some mates, it may be a little bit hard. Within a few weeks or so, he'll be claiming his whole tank like this own territory, and obviously he wouldn't like any intruders, right ? Haha, it still may work out though, but sometimes its a rougher ride. I'll wait for pictures :)
Tanks, yeah i was thinking he might start getting very territorial in time and then by the time i was to add tankmates he may be too stressed out. i guess the sooner the better in that circumstance. i think ill let him have the 10gal to himself and maybe get another 5 or 10gal at a later time for more fish muhahahaha! seriously though, whoever said fish were low maintenance....jeesh!

also He may very well be a cambodian betta...not too sure still. ill have to get pics so I can get an idea :)

Awe thank you! Hes my bootiful boy lol any idea what his colour is? in person the tail is more silvery bluish reddish purply lol if that makes any sense :P
