One of my bettas decided to KILL his shrimp, but not eat them. Silly boy. :P

See I'm so confused because every time I see the fish near the shrimp they just ignore them.. maybe look at them a little but no biting or chasing but there was clearly a carcass to a shrimp.. I guess its possible it molted but I highly doubt it.

I need to have shrimp in my tank to help break down the dead plant matter to keep my plants healthy.. my snails don't really go for the plants.. they prefer algae wafers and fish food.
