It also is a chlorine remover. There is aloe in it it says. I use either Stress coat or NovAqua+ (which has Echinacea and something else.) I always just put a little capful everytime I add water or do a water change. When I brought my new boy home he looked stressed and a bit lethargic and I put a small capful of the NovAqua+ in his section and he perked up soon after. I don't know what it was that perked him up but it doesn't hurt.
