I just bought my little Betta guy, Orin, yesterday. He's got a 3 gallon tank (
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...ct_id=13448744) and plenty of room to swim around... I've got some fake plants in the bottum that he seems to enjoy, but I didnt get a heater, I read today that it is necessary (everyone else had told me that room temp. water was what they needed)
So I went out and got a submersible heater for 2-15 gallon tanks, and I got a thermometer that sticks to the outside of the tank.
I was reading the instructions on how to put the thermometer on and it said to stick it to the outside of the GLASS tank... well, Orin's tank is acrylic... HELP! what should I do? will it still work? poor little guy is cold and walmart would be closed by the time I got there again to see if I could find a different heater.
